When Ferris State University authorizes a public school academy, they are envisioning a glimpse into the future. It is believed that each academy authorized will have a positive impact on: the lives of the children and parents they serve; the communities of the families they serve; the taxpayers of the State of Michigan; and ultimately, the societies of the world. To accomplish this, the academy must provide an environment to achieve academic excellence by delivering quality programming and instruction for the children it serves. The virtues of character that include the values of freedom, honesty, integrity, and civility, in addition to rigorous accountability to all stakeholders are a part of our vision for each school academy.
